The problem builds on itself.
So does our answer.

Warming feeds more warming. A one-off payment doesn't keep up with that. So we built two things that carry on: money that goes back to work, and people who carry it further.

Your money doesn't stop
the day you pay it.

One site helps build the next.

  1. 01Monthly supportCompanies and people fund places.
  2. 02A site, financed soonerSteady income lets a lender fund it now, not in five years.
  3. 03Methane destroyedThe site runs, and you see what it does.
  4. 04Results soldVerified results earn money, and it goes into the next site.

Each tonne is counted once. Whoever buys a verified result buys tonnes that are not counted for you, and the money goes into the next site. Nobody takes a profit out.

And it doesn't
stop with you.

When someone discovers ClimateCurrent through you and decides to join, their place sets something in motion too. We show you that as "What you put in motion".

Think of it as one wave. Everything the places in it do is real, and counted once. What you put in motion is your share of that wave: half from the people who joined through you, a quarter from the step after, and so on. Those shares are cut from the same wave, so they can never add up to more than it.

Never extra tonnes: their tonnes stay theirs. Never money: nobody earns anything when others join.

It doesn't take
thousands of people.

If three people discover ClimateCurrent through you and decide to join, and three more discover it through each of them, it speeds up with every step.

Three people join through you+30 tEach place does about 20 t a year. Half of each, about 10 t, is attributed to you.
Three more through each of them+45 tNine more places. A quarter of each, about 5 t, is attributed to you.
And three more through each of those+68 tTwenty-seven more places, about 2.5 t each attributed to you.
What you put in motionabout 140 ta year, while your own place still does about 20 t. And the sites build the next site, so it starts again.

An illustration of how it can spread, not a prediction of how far yours will reach. Add up everyone's share of the wave and you never get more than the tonnes that were actually stopped. Nothing is counted twice, and nobody earns money from it.
